Leading the craft beer industry in North Syracuse is Full Boar Craft Brewery, home to a wide variety of brews and weekly flavorful specials.
About the Brewery
Full Boar Craft Brewery was established in 2015 by Eric Petranchuk and Dave Marchant. A year later they opened their taproom next to Applebee’s on Sweetheart Corner in North Syracuse. What started as two friends with a passion for craft beer and their local community has grown into a welcoming home for a family of beer lovers.
Blaine Gardner joined the team in 2018 as the head brewer and has brought a great deal of knowledge and creativity to the brewing process. Together, the trio and their crew of bartenders bring a consistent line-up of great beer and great times. You’re in for plenty of jokes and quality conversation over your pint at the bar.
Beers & Food
Full Boar’s focus is strictly on the beer. They don’t serve food, unless you consider a bag of chips a meal! But they do encourage their guests to bring in food from local restaurants or from home.
As for the beer, there really is something for everyone. With 16 taps of all their own beer, it’s hard not to find one you like. If you aren’t a huge craft beer fan, you can stick with something simple like the Sweetheart Blonde Ale or Blaine’s Finest Pilsner. Full Boar has an extensive rotation of IPAs, including New England, West Coast, and Milkshake styles. Or you can dive a little deeper into the flavor with their Black Boar Peanut Butter Porter or one of the fruity ones in the Slap Me Sour series.
Full Boar Mug Club
Full Boar is one of the local breweries that offers a mug club membership. Customers can join for $125 for the first year, and $100 for yearly renewals. Members get their own numbered mug to use at the taproom, discounts on flights and merch, larger pours, and invitations to exclusive mug club events.
Weekly Events at Full Boar
Owners Eric and Dave are always mixing it up at the brewery, hosting both regular and special events. Every Sunday they offer a growler special where you can get a fill of that day’s chosen beer for just $10.
Wednesday nights are Randall Night at the taproom. Each week they take a different beer and run it through a Randall, infusing it with different flavors. Previous Randalls have included apple slices and cinnamon sticks, bourbon and wood chips, and even candy pieces. Check their social media on Wednesdays to see what creative beer they’ve come up with for the night.
Thursday nights round out the week with trivia by Syracuse Trivia Company. Winners get gift cards to put toward their next visit.
*Full Boar is a participating partner of the Eat Local New York Card! So you can save $5 off your bill every time you spend over $25.
