RailHead Brewing Company in Hornell Pays Homage to the Brewing and Railroad History

What’s better than a pint of beer and a wood-fired pizza in a relaxed setting? Not much! And at RailHead Brewing Company in Hornell, NY, you can enjoy just that.

About the Brewery

The rustic atmosphere is cozy and the staff is welcoming. Both of the co-owners are happy to tell you about the history of the brewery and their plans for the future. The decor also honors the history of the railroad industry, which Hornell’s economy was built on.

Beers & Food

When you visit the brewery, you can choose from a pint, half pint, or flight of four. And if you don’t get yourself a wood-fired pizza while you’re there, you’re truly missing out! Be sure to check out the current special, which changes every other week. They also offer homemade soft pretzels, cheese boards, and candied bacon. Yum!

While the taproom is on the smaller side, they have a nice biergarten on the side of the building, and a bar rail with stools out front. If you’re bringing your dog with you, you’ll need to stay outside since they serve food

Lastly, because RailHead operates on such a small system, they currently do not distribute their beer. So if you want to try it, you’ve got to go directly to the brewery. But it’s totally worth it. The beers are great and the staff is very friendly.
