Eat Local New York Restaurant Week presentd by The Summit Federal Credit Union kicks off April 13th, and before the eating officially begins, we’re getting together to celebrate — the restaurants, the people behind them, and everyone who makes it a point to support local. We want you there.
The event is at Rohrbach Brewing, 97 Railroad Street in Rochester, on Saturday, April 11th from 2–7PM. Rohrbach has been part of Rochester’s fabric for over 30 years. They’ve built something real — a neighborhood brewery that’s stayed committed to the community through every shift in the industry. It’s a relaxed, easy afternoon kind of place, and that’s exactly the energy we’re going for. Show up, grab a drink, and enjoy the company.

Eat Local New York x Karma Sauce
We’re also using Saturday to announce a collaboration we’ve been putting together: Eat Local New York is releasing a hot sauce with Karma Sauce. Karma is one of Rochester’s most respected craft hot sauce makers — small batch, serious about flavor, and genuinely local. It’s a pairing that made a lot of sense. On Saturday, the sauce will be available to order as a wing sauce at Rohrbach. Come hungry and give it a try.

The kickoff party is just the beginning. Eat Local New York Restaurant Week presented by The Summit Federal Credit Union runs April 13–26, with more than 130 participating restaurants across New York offering special menus designed to get people in the door and trying something new. This is two weeks of intentional eating — choosing the neighborhood spot over the chain, finally booking the table you’ve been meaning to make a reservation at, or revisiting a longtime favorite.
Every meal during Restaurant Week is a direct investment in the restaurants and the people who work in them. It adds up fast when a community decides to show up together — and that’s exactly what this week is about.
