The annual Eat Local New York card sale is going on right now through the end of the day, Cyber Monday. This is our biggest sale of the year for the Eat Local New York card and one that many of our customers look forward to each year.
The Eat Local New York card is a discount card that is accepted at over 140 locally owned restaurants, bars and pubs, coffee shops, and other eateries all over New York. When Eat Local NY members visit a participating business, spend $25 or more, and show their Eat Local NY card or the Eat Local NY mobile app, they will receive a $5 discount on their order. The Eat Local New York card can be used an unlimited amount of times and any of the participating locations and is valid until December 31st, 2023.
We started the Eat Local New York card as a way to encourage customers to support locally-owned businesses and spend money in the community instead of at national chains or franchise restaurants. Our hope is that cardholders will visit new restaurants they have not been to before, or frequent their favorites more often because they’ll be saving money when doing so.
Eat Local New York began as a way to help local businesses thrive by informing potential customers about different businesses in the community. Our goal is to help restaurants and food service businesses and make the community a better place. That is why we donate 20% of every Eat Local New York card to the United Way of Central New York. The work the United Way does in Central New York is important for a variety of reasons. We are proud to be supporters of the services the United Way funds and helps. Each purchase of the Eat Local New York card means we can donate $5 to help their work continue.
The Black Friday – Cyber Monday sale is on now. Use code “SAVE2022” at checkout to take 20% off your total purchase on any Eat Local New York card. You can buy an Eat Local New York card here. You can also find the complete list of participating businesses here.
