I am thrilled to announce that I am opening a restaurant!
That’s right, I am partnering with Chuck Orlando and Nick Ford of Limp Lizard BBQ to start our joint venture, 3-1-Fried (Three-One-Fried) making some delicious fried chicken sandwiches.
3-1-Fried will be a delivery only (with some takeout) restaurant operating inside of the Limp Lizard BBQ Roadside Cantina at 224 N. Main Street in North Syracuse and will be open Thursday – Saturday from 4:00p – 9:00p and Sunday from 12:00p – 7:00p.
This all started a few years ago when I had the idea for a fried chicken restaurant called “Three-One-Fried”. It would be a primarily takeout restaurant with a few seats that would be focused on quality fried chicken and amazing side dishes. That was all long before the pandemic and was really nothing more than an idea.
Fast forward to 2022 and the conversation started about what sort of a “ghost-kitchen” concept would be fun to open. After bouncing a few ideas around, we landed on 3-1-fried but instead of serving bone-in fried chicken we decided to focus on making delicious fried-chicken sandwiches.
At that point, we went into the kitchen and spent almost two months working out the best recipe and sandwich combinations we could. We tested and ate so many chicken sandwiches during this time and have dialed it down to five really amazing chicken sandwiches. Some are simply our take on a classic and others are pretty unique.
The menu will have:
A Classic chicken sandwich, our take on a Buffalo style chicken sandwich, the “3-1-Fried” sandwich, Chucks Hot Honey with house-made hot honey, and the Mac & Berry with Limp Lizard macaroni and cheese and their famous Jalapeño Blueberry BBQ Sauce. Each sandwich will come with a side of tater tots with a house-made seasoning.
We cannot wait to get open and look forward to serving up these delicious sandwiches. Our plan is to open to the public for dinner on April 1st.

I hope to see you out there in North Syracuse and know that you’ll love the sandwiches that we have created.
